Product FAQs

Q: Where are your products made?
A: Our products are made in California in a facility with many years of CBD experience.

Q: Are your products lab tested?
A: Yes! We test all of our products for contaminants including heavy metals, pesticides, and solvents. Test results for all products are linked from the product pages on our websites and can also be seen by scanning the QR codes on product packaging.

Q: Do your products contain any major allergens?
A: Many of our products contain coconut oil or purified coconut oil (MCT). If you have questions about the ingredients of any specific product please drop us a line.

Q: Will these products cause me to test positive for cannabis?
A: Some products may contain tiny amounts of THC. If you may be tested for cannabis metabolites then you should avoid CBD products, just in case.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: Unopened products may be returned for a full refund excluding shipping. Before sending something back please get in touch.

Q: Will CBD get me high?
A: No. While you may feel a little different, you won’t get high or inebriated. You’ll be able to go about your day normally — maybe even a little better than normal.

Q: Where is your CBD from?
A: Our CBD is sourced from fully permitted hemp farms in the United States and Western Europe.

Q: Is CBD legal?
A: Yes, CBD from hemp is federally legal in the United States. However, rules about how it can be sold differ from state to state so if you have cause for concern you should check with your local state government. You definitely won’t get in trouble just for owning or using these products.

Q: What’s the difference between Hemp and Cannabis?
A: Botanically speaking, they are identical — they are Cannabis sativa  or Cannabis indica. The difference is regulatory: Hemp is defined as any cannabis plant that has less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Above that and it is considered “cannabis,” and is subject to much more stringent regulations.

Q: Can I take too much CBD?
A: We don’t know of anyone who has died or become seriously ill from consuming CBD. It has a remarkable safety profile: in 2019 the World Health Organisation found that “Cannabidiol…has no potential for abuse and no potential to produce dependence. It does not have significant ill-effects.”

Q: Will CBD cure my condition?
A: Unfortunately federal regulations bar us from giving any medical advice or making any claims about the efficacy of these products. Please consult your healthcare professional.

Q: How much CBD should I take?
A: Everybody responds differently to CBD, so it’s impossible to give you a personalized dosing recommendation here. We suggest starting with a dose of 10 to 20mg. If you get the desired result, stay at that dose, or even try a slightly lower dose. If you don’t get the effects you desire, try taking more.

Q: Can kids take CBD?
A: We don’t recommend it.

Q: Can I fly with CBD products?
A: Yes — as long as they are compatible with other rules (eg carryon liquid limits), there are no restrictions to flying with CBD products in the United States.

The Basics of Tinctures

Our tinctures are dropper bottles full of CBD infused into a carrier. Our basic CBD tinctures are made using MCT oil, which is a stable, tasteless form of purified coconut oil. Our functional CBD tinctures also include about 15% alcohol, which carries the other functional ingredients — so shake before using!

Tinctures can be used many ways: Place under the tongue for quick, complete absorption; add to food and drink to give them a boost; you can even apply them topically, rubbing them into affected areas (though not on broken skin).

Basics of CBD

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp/cannabis as well as a few other plants. Over the past few years, CBD has been gaining popularity rapidly. People like to use it for many different reasons — it can be part of a regular wellness program for adults of any age.

The CBD in our products is extracted from hemp using the Supercritical CO2 process, which yields a clean and consistent oil. This CBD oil is then made into many different kinds of products, both edible and topical.

Hemp-based CBD is federally legal in the United States so buying and using it presents no problems.
